Saturday 22nd Oct 2022 - 10am - 3.30pm

Join me for my introduction to screen printing (with paper stencils) at Seagulls in Leeds! In this beginners' intro to screen print workshop, you will learn about how to cut a design out to screen print with, how to transfer a design onto a screen using a paper stencil, how to screen print your design (the fun bit with ink!) and how to clean down afterwards.

Seagulls is an incredible community enterprise with an amazing ethos and incredible workshop space. Check out more about Seagulls here!

You'll be able to make a series of A4 paper prints, or a set of cards to take away with you. Don't worry if you're not a confident drawer, I will show you how to make abstract designs or trace from an existing design. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to take some time out, get creative and have some fun. All materials for use at the workshop are included in the price as well as teas/coffees!

I recommend you bring some ideas with you for your design so you can get started straight away! Stuck for ideas? Get in touch and I can send you some inspiration through of some printmakers I love!

We'll be using sharp scalpels to cut out the paper design and I will be providing a health and safety briefing. In purchasing the ticket to this workshop you accept full responsibility for your own safety when using the sharp implements. No prior experience neccessary! This class is all about paper stencils so we won't be going through the process of exposing a digital design onto a screen - if you're interested in this I may run a follow up class!

Please note this class is for over 18s, or over 15s when accompanied by at adult.

If you need to cancel your spot at the class:

If you cancel 14 days or more before I will provide a full refund

If you cancel 7-14 days before I will issue a 50% refund

If you cancel 7 days or less before I won't be able to offer a refund as it'll be tricky to find someone to fill your spot!
